Community

Whether we’re cheering on Kinross Cricket Club who play on our field or setting out our stall at Kinross Farmer’s Market, we love being part of the vibrant community.

We also enjoy donating items for raffles at local schools and welcoming people along to our weekly Knitting & Craft Group and to the Kinross-shire Partnership’s monthly Networking Breakfast  as well as hosting and organising events here at the Larder.

It’s a great pleasure to have young people undertaking work experience with us and to watch them develop. Many start out on a few days’ work experience from school and go on to work at the weekends throughout their school years and sometimes during university holidays too. We also participate in mentoring programmes, particularly through local high school, Kinross High.

  • If you currently run, or are looking to start, a community group and are looking for a venue, please email some details to customerservice@lochlevenslarder.com and we’ll see if we can assist
  • Please visit our Sponsorship page if you are looking for charitable support
  • Please visit our Join Us page if you are interested in working here

There’s lots going on in the area – if you’re new to the area or visiting, we recommend you pick up a copy of the Kinross Newsletter. This is available to buy in many local shops (including our deli, of course).

The workshop will begin with a walk to look for the plants, noticing how and where they grow. You will then make simple prints onto paper in which the plants will ‘draw’ themselves, revealing their fascinating forms and pigments.
