Three great reasons to eat Sourdough—now baked daily in our bakery
- Easier to digest than yeasted bread, especially commercially-produced breads which often rely on fast production processes and raising agents.
- High in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
- Keeps you going for longer and helps to stabilise blood sugar levels.
If you’re buying sourdough, make sure it’s the real thing. A Which? survey found that 75% of supermarket sourdoughs were not authentic, and did rely only on the slow fermentation process on which the sourdough health and digestibility difference rests.
Is our sourdough authentic?
Traditional sourdough contains four ingredients: flour, water, salt and a starter culture, which is simply flour and water mixed together and left to ferment for a few days.
