Meet the Supplier – Simon Howie

Over 30 Years in the Making

As a family-run business which has grown steadily from humble roots, we have a lot in common with Simon Howie the Scottish Butcher. Simon set up his first shop in Dunning, Perthshire, back in 1986. Today, the company is one of Britain’s best-known quality food brands.

Dedication to Quality

With demand for his products all over the UK, Simon and the team work hard to ensure that the high-quality which the business is known for is maintained. They have won so many Great Taste Awards that they have now been officially recognised as a Great Taste Producer by the Guild of Fine Food.

Our chefs are proud to use Simon Howie products in many of dishes in our café menu. We love their high-quality sausages, used in our farmers breakfasts and butties. Succulent ham loin is sugar-baked then enjoyed in sandwiches and eggs benedict. Their luxury sausage meat is wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry for our sought-after sausage rolls and available in our deli.

We are delighted to be working with a company who are putting Perthshire produce on the map and look forward to creating many more dishes with their quality meat.
